R&A Women in Golf Charter

The Ladies Section of Howley Hall Golf Club are a proud signatory of the R&A Women in Golf Charter.
Our commitments aim to create an inclusive culture within the club and open up the game of golf to women and girls of all ages.
Our aim is to make golf accessible to all women, including those who work full time and encouraging more girls to get into the sport which can foster life long friendships and prove a really fun game to play.

Meet our Charter Champion

I’m delighted to have been appointed as Charter Champion. With support from the ladies committee and the club, I'm excited to offer my enthusiasm and drive to implement new and existing initiatives to achieve the accreditation and to fulfill the commitments set out in the Women in Golf Charter action plan.

It is exciting to know that there is support and drive to develop a more inclusive culture in golf. This will enable more women and girls to start playing golf as well as to maximise their potential and position within Howley Hall and the golf industry as a whole.

Girls Golf Rocks

Girls Golf Rocks encourages beginner girls aged 5-18 to learn and play golf in a fun and friendly way. The programme runs nationally across England with close to 200 host clubs/facilities taking part.

Howley Hall is proud to be a host venue for GGR in 2022.

'I am proud to be an ambassador for the 2022 Girls Golf Rocks initiative. I think it is really important now more than ever to get girls active and into sport from a young age. It's also a fantastic opportunity to make new friends.'
