Howley Hall Golf Club in conjunction with the PGA in Yorkshire is pleased to announce that the club will once again play host to the annual Yorkshire Open Pro Am and Yorkshire Open Golf Championship (incorporating the Howley Hall Scratch Trophy).
The two day event will be in July this year with the 36 hole competition for the prestigious Yorkshire Open Championship and Howley Hall Scratch Trophy on the 6th July, preceded by the Pro-Am on the 5th July.
You can book a team in this year’s Pro-Am for £240 per team, please click here for an entry form.
Last year, 35 professionals and 9 amateurs played for the Yorkshire Open Cup, the John Bairstow trophy (for the leading amateur in the Yorkshire Open) and the Howley Hall Scratch Trophy, again for the leading amateur.
Ben Hutchinson was fortunate to win all three of these trophies to triumph all the pro golfers on the day. This marks two years in a row that an amateur player has won. Ben shot a first round 70 followed by a second round 72 for a total 142.
Second place was professional Aaron Wainwright with a 73 71 for a total 144 as the top professional on the day.
The course which is over one hundred years old has undergone a significant refurbishment programme over the last four years and has laid claim to having the best last four holes in the county.
